West Virginia University Medical Corp. failed to correct employees’ regular and overtime wage payments after a ransomware attack temporarily sidelined the third-party timekeeping system it used, a new suit in federal court in the state alleges.

The medical system directed employees to record their hours manually after the Ultimate Kronos Group hack in December 2021 so it could correct their pay later.
