COLLEGE – Ohio State University and Grand Canyon University

FAMILY – Husband, Jordan; sons Peyton, Landon and Brantly; and parents Mitch and Debbie McBurney.

WHAT SUBJECTS DO YOU TEACH? – I teach special education for grades six to eight. We learn math, reading, science, social studies and functional life and social skills. 

WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB? – The best part of my job is getting to know my students and their families. I also really enjoy seeing the joy on my students’ faces when they master a new skill that they have been working on. Seeing them grow and learn new skills every day makes my work so rewarding.
