IBEX, an ITW Food Equipment Group brand, recently named Charlie Pantelakos as business unit manager. Pantelakos will oversee sales education training and focus on targeted sales growth for the brand. His additional responsibilities will include leading IBEX marketing efforts, ongoing research and development, logistics, manufacturing and culinary support for IBEX rapid-cook ovens.

“We’re excited to bring Charlie onto our team to focus on and help grow the IBEX business,” said Markus Glueck, ITW Food Equipment Group president, Cooking. “His extensive experience in the foodservice industry sets an excellent foundation for him to lead the way to introduce and sell IBEX rapid-cook ovens.”

The IBEX rapid-cook oven—winner of the 2022 National Restaurant Association Kitchen Innovation award—offers first-in-the-world equipment that delivers combi oven quality in a fraction of the time. Using solid-state radio frequency technology in combination with convection heating, IBEX can constantly analyze and adjust based on feedback for that exact moment in time—delivering uniform results at world-class speed. The IBEX rapid-cook oven is an ITW Food Equipment Group brand.

Selling a first-in-the-world advanced cooking technology requires extensive industry knowledge and experience. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Pantelakos’ career experience sets IBEX up well for successful market penetration. From developing products from concept to launch at companies like RATIONAL USA to overseeing his own family’s food distribution business as the vice president of sales and operation, Pantelakos has worked extensively with dealers, consultants and end customers across multiple market segments.

“Charlie has managed all aspects of procurement, warehousing, processing, distribution and customer experience,” said Glueck. “His leadership is exactly what we’re looking for at IBEX. We’re happy to have him on board.”
