Data Intelligence and Cyber Security Analytics company Pipeline Security appointed ASM Shamim Reza as the company’s first Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in October 2021.

He was previously the company’s external advisor on AI and cybersecurity, the company said in a press release.

Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Japan, Pipeline Security has been working to establish its footprint in the Asia Pacific and Middle East. The company incorporated in Bangladesh after Singapore, and appointed their CTO as a stepping stone to secure the cyberspace in the country.

Reza had worked at Link3 Technologies for over 12 years, implementing services and driving Infrastructure Security Operations.

He also founded TheTeamPhoenix — a group focused on conducting threat-hunting research programs using machine learning frameworks.

He is also an expert for the APNIC regional internet registry, and a program committee member for Artificial Intelligence and Data Foundation at the prestigious technical conference, Open-Source Summit – North America.

Additionally, Reza has been conducting multiple hands-on training programs on cyber security analysis in Bangladesh. He has also contributed to regional conferences such as SANOG, RootConf, bdNOG, SANOG, APRICOT, APNIC, Open-Source Summit, and so on.

“Pipeline Security has been doing an excellent job of extending the arena of digital security. Allan Watanabe’s huge vision for the future piques my interest in the company. I believe that together, we will achieve great things,” the press release quoted Reza as saying.

He added that his aim is to “propel Pipeline into its next phase of growth and oversee technology teams across markets that encompass product engineering, design, and AI research by launching a SOC facility and monitoring solutions for businesses opening new offices in Bangladesh and Japan.”

Allan Watanabe, CEO of Pipeline Security, said that building data-driven solutions for customers is essential for the future of digital businesses.

“Shamim brings a unique combination of expertise across managing and monitoring mission critical infrastructure, helping to secure telecom networks, and applying his knowledge of Artificial Intelligence. We are thrilled to have him on the team at Pipeline,” he added.
