Pak-Based Hacker Hacks Indore Police’s Official Website | #cybersecurity | #cyberattack

Indore: In a shocking development, the official website of Indore Police has been hacked by Pakistan-based hacker.

According to reports, the hackers wrote ‘Hacked by Mohammed Bilal team PCE – Free Kashmir, Pakistan Zindabad’ and ‘catch me if you can’ on the official website.

The hackers also posted objectionable content against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to officials, the hackers attacked the  ‘Contact Us’ section of the website, which has details, designations and contact numbers of senior Madhya Pradesh police officers, including the Director General of Police (DGP).

The police have begun the investigation into the matter with a team reportedly working to trace the IP address from which the website was tampered with. Besides, a team of cyber experts are making all attempts to recover the page.

Additional Superintendent of Police Guruprasad Parashar said that efforts were being made with the help of technical experts to restore the website to its original form.

“We are conducting an in-depth probe into the matter to get details about the hackers and will take appropriate steps accordingly,” PTI quoted Parashar as saying.

Earlier in November 2019, Mohammed Bilal had hacked the website of Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

He had earlier in 2018 hacked the websites of the Andhra University and the BJP’s Goa unit.
