NICOLA Sturgeon has teased the publication of the second independence paper on social media.

The First Minister took to Twitter to announce that the paper will be published tomorrow as she outlines the Scottish Government’s vision for IndyRef2.

She told her followers on the platform that it will focus on “democracy and democratic renewal”.

And stated that it “could not be more timely”.

Ms Sturgeon will publish the second ‘Building a New Scotland’ paper at 11am tomorrow morning.

And it will be live on the Scottish Government channel.

Her tweet read: “Tomorrow I will publish the second in the Building a New Scotland series of papers, refreshing the case for independence.

“This one focuses on democracy and democratic renewal, and could not be more timely.

“Watch from 11am on @scotgov channel #indyref2”.

It comes after UK Government lawyers have argued that Ms Sturgeon’s bid for IndyRef2 should be rejected by the Supreme Court.

In an initial submission to judges, they claim the case must be kicked out as it is too early for any legal test to take place.

The First Minister triggered a battle with UK ministers in June after she told the Lord Advocate Dorothy Bain to refer her Independence Bill to Britain’s highest court.

She wants judges to decide whether Holyrood has the power to hold a ballot without Westminster’s approval.

But, No10 lawyers believe a decision on the legality of Ms Sturgeon’s proposed legislation can’t be made until after it is introduced and passed by the Scottish Parliament.
