The Ministry of Labor yesterday launched a National TVET (Technical and Vocational Learning Education and Training) E-Learning Platform, which aims to promote its learning among students and users to fulfil the demands of the labour market.

The app was officially launched by Labor Ministry secretary of state Pich Sophorn, in conjunction with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC)’s deputy head of cooperation Nadia Ottiger.

The TVET platform aims to offer a series of online technical training opportunities, even during the Covid-19 pandemic.

It increases the equity of training programs among young people across Cambodia, improves the quality of the labour market, and is highly effective.

Sophorn said that TVET E-Learning Platform is an information system that provides a way of learning through watching videos and reading electronics documents, through tablets or smartphones, anywhere and anytime.

Ottiger said that the SDC will continue to cooperate with the ministry and offer full technical and financial support in accordance with the needs of the users and the growth of the technology.

According to the Ministry of Labor, users can enter the website, www.tvet-elearning.com using the application, which can be downloaded from Appstore for iOS, Play Store for Android and AppGallery for Huawei. The TVET application has already been downloaded nearly 10,000 times.
