Milwaukee’s Maple Tree School will temporarily transition to virtual learning after 3% or more of the total school population tested positive for COVID-19 within a 14-day period, according to a Sunday news release from Milwaukee Public Schools. In-person learning will resume on Oct. 20.

The school’s staff will continue to report to the building, but will work independently in their individual classroom or office space.

Students and families can expect teachers to reach out with instructions for virtual learning, the news release said.

If families are in need of technology assistance, they should contact the school.
