Ohio State appears to be on the verge of another win on Saturday, as the Buckeyes are up big against No. 9 Indiana at Ohio Stadium.
It hasn’t been easy for Ryan Day’s team on Saturday. Justin Fields has struggled with ball security, throwing multiple interceptions in a pretty stunning performance. That’s not the main worry for the Buckeyes moving forward, though.
Ohio State’s secondary has allowed multiple big plays to Indiana’s offense. The Buckeyes have able to win despite that, but it’s Indiana (no offense, Hoosiers).
How will Ohio State’s secondary hold up down the line against a Mac Jones or Trevor Lawrence-led offense in the College Football Playoff?
That’s the major concern for Buckeye Nation right now. Ohio State still has time to figure things out and the Buckeyes should move to 4-0 with a win today.
Still, Ohio State will need to tighten things up before a potential College Football Playoff appearance later this season.
Mac Jones or Trevor Lawrence will have approximately 867 yards & 9 TDs against this Ohio State secondary

Ohio State has to fix these defensive issues before Trevor Lawrence is playing on the other team #GoBucks

Trevor Lawrence is gonna hang 84 on Ohio State if they’re lucky enough to even make it to the CFP

To be fair, neither Clemson nor Alabama’s defense has looked all that great this season, either. Everyone has defensive issues to worry about in college football.
That doesn’t mean the Buckeyes are OK in that area, though. Ohio State will need to shore up its secondary before the season’s biggest tests.
