KPMG in India is beginning its hiring drive for digital professionals wherein the company seeks to hire approximately 1000 professionals in various domains.

These positions are open across the North, West, South regions across skill sets in Cloud, AI, Cyber, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence and domain specialization. The experience levels vary from 2 years to seasoned individuals with 15-18 years of experience.

While speaking exclusively with ETCIO, Akhilesh Tuteja – Partner and Head, Digital Consulting at KPMG in India, said, “Our transformative value propositions have generated an astounding response in the market; we are hiring to power all the large-scale transformation projects that we are executing for our clients. These projects demand year-long investments in effort, resources, and technology implementations. We plan to hire several thousand people in the coming years to help us address the growing demand and scope of these engagements.”

When asked if the company is looking to create new product lines or revenue streams, he said, “The massive cloud, cyber and data transformations we’re driving across enterprises unlock incredible business value, generating net new lines of revenue for our clients and ourselves. These offer rich avenues for cross-pollination, allowing us to convert our learnings in one context into accelerated, repeatable value offerings relevant across industries and sectors”

Earlier, digital interventions primarily involved migrating to ERPs and CRMs whether it be regarding their distribution network or running their order book. Now, with the exponential scale of adoption of the Internet and emerging technologies such as cloud, AI, cybersecurity, intelligent automation, business operations have been disrupted with customers at the center of innovation thus increasing the demand for new skills in the market.

Company’s primary focus is on business-led transformation projects driven by AI and technology. Therefore, these new people will be working on modern technology like AI, data science and cybersecurity.

KPMG has cast its net far and wide, seeking out multi-generational individuals passionate about digital technologies irrespective of gender, background, industry, work experience. The spotlight will be on the candidate’s capability and eagerness to learn.

This drive is expected to give the opportunity to the women looking at re-starting their career and the ones who lost their jobs among the pandemic.

KPMG further plans to hire several thousand people in the coming years; to grow its team by a factor of three in the next three years. This will comprise 30% freshers, 50% experienced and 20% senior executives.
