Fans of Karan Johar‘s celebrity talk show Koffee With Karan were left heartbroken after he issued a statement announcing the show’s cancellation. Here’s good news though! The show is returning and how!

We’re sure all of us had a semblance of the idea that earlier it was nothing but a marketing gimmick. And Karan has just proven that. The filmmaker took to social media to officially announce the return of the reality show.

His statement read, “Koffee with Karan will not be returning … on TV! Because every great story needs a good twist, I’m delighted to announce that season 7 of Koffee With Karan will stream exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar!”

“The biggest movie stars from across India will return to the couch to spill the beans while drinking some koffee. There will be games, there will be rumours put to rest – and there will be conversations that go deep, about love, loss and everything we’ve all been through over the last few years. Koffee With Karan, ‘streaming’ soon, only on Disney+ Hotstar. Toodles!” he added.

Fans and celebs alike were quick to react to the announcement, naturally. Farah Khan Kunder took to the comment section to write, “I knew it!!” And if it isn’t all of us. Punjabi singer-songwriter B Praak also commented, “Can’t wait,” as he dropped many heart eyes.

One of the fans wrote, “YOU GAVE US A HEART ATTACK,” while another chimed in, “Are my feelings a joke to u”

Excited? Well, KJo sure is! He revealed in a statement, ““The beans have been roasting long enough, and it is now time to finally brew them. It is an all-new season of Koffee With Karan and I cannot wait for my friends and guests to make a run for the esteemed coffee hamper as the audience watches the show only on Disney+ Hotstar this time. Viewers can expect this season to be more entertaining with fun segments, style, coming closer to your favorite stars, filled with glam and wit, making it bigger and better.”

Meanwhile, according to multiple reports, the show is expected to premiere in May of this year. According to another report from Pinkvilla, the show’s attendees are expected to include a number of well-known movie stars. Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Sidharth Malhotra, Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif, and Siddhant Chaturvedi are among names mentioned.

On the work front, Karan Johar is currently filming Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, a film directed by him and starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
