Hermes scam: UK customers warned of email and text messages circulating now | #socialmedia

Customers can be contacted by scammers who claim to be from courier companies. Recently, a number of Hermes scams have been received by shoppers.

A spokesperson for Norfolk Trading Standards urged Britons not to click on any links or share personal information.

“These texts have been sent by criminals who have created the fake website to look similar to the Hermes website, with the same branding, layout and font choices,” a statement said.

“If you think you have provided scammers with your financial details you should contact your bank immediately.”

Britons should be wary and not enter any details if they are not sure of the source.

“Hermes has confirmed the messages are a scam, and that they will not ask customers to pay through phone or email.”

The fake message said: “HERMES: Sorry we have missed you earlier, we have your parcel. To reschedule a delivery please follow the link.”
