Mehhhh, 3 hours agoI preferred the G Pay icon, this wallet icon doesn’t look nice at all.Remember how Chrome browser icon design turned into a meme? Well, that’s Google’s graphic design right there.

Google should focus on app performance. I am from India and we have UPI payment system here and around 4/10 times Google pay fails to make the payment, the app just shows connection to bank server failed while at the same time Samsung pay works flawlessly everytime.

Apart from changing the layout, what actually is different.

ThunderCrackR, 5 hours agoThat’s what Samsung did with their Samsung Wallet which also integrates Samsung Pass. But… moreIt’s also terrible at international support… Samsung Pay is basically not supported anywhere but in South Korea which is their home country and USA. The rest is basically useless, like in Europe.

Since that stopped using it.

dexterouz, 6 hours agoSince you already have Apple Pay, I think Google will offer its service eventually. I was thinking of going back to Android next year, possibly with Samsung’s Galaxy S23, but this really hit hard on how stupid it is ruining entire decision making. I can use my bank’s NFC payment app for Android, but it’s garbage and I hate it. It was so unreliable I had to absolutely have credit card with me anyway if app failed and it failed constantly in stores. Apple Pay has been super reliable to a point I can only have my phone with me and be sure it won’t fail me when having to pay something.

I do have international credit card which is supported by Google Pay, but apparently I’d have to do some weird acrobatics to even activate in in Google Pay which is just dumb. I can’t grasp how weird it is for Google not supporting my country meanwhile Apple has been doing so for several years now. Apple of all brands that probably has the least presence in my country where Google is dominating everything from e-mail services to phones with Android.

I’ll have to ask around if this thing works straight away even if Google says country isn’t supported…

What? My country is not even supported by Google Pay? What the F? Meanwhile Apple Pay is officially supported and has been for years now. Ugh!? What the hell Google?
