Cherokee Nation offers drive-thru help for stimulus registration – FOX23 News | #phishing | #scams


The tribe has seen nearly 150,000 people register for the one-time payment of $2,000 since opening enrollment June 1, 2020. In fact, registration numbers were so high they had to relocate their registration office to Sequoyah High School gymnasium.

Most are encouraged to apply online at: gadugiportal.cherokee.org.

However, Cherokee Nation staff are hosting a series of drive-thru help options for elderly citizens that do not have an active email address or access to technology. Guidance will be offered for elderly citizens that might have lost their card or do not know their citizenship numbers.

Here is the schedule and locations for the drive-thru events:

• June 14 – Vinita – Craig County Fairgrounds at 915 E. Apperson Rd 11am-1pm

• June 15 – Tahlequah – Old Cherokee Nation Casino Parking Lot at 16489 US-62 11am-1pm

• June 16 – Warner – Warner Event Center 11am – 1pm

• June 17 – Bartlesville – Tri-County Technology Center at 6101 Nowata Rd 11am-1pm

• June 18 – Sallisaw – Carl Albert State College at 1601 Opdyke Rd 11am-1pm

• June 21 – Pryor – Pryor Rec Center at 111 SE 9th street 11am-1pm

• June 22 – Catoosa – JW Sam Building at 701 W Rollins Street 11am-1pm

• June 23 – Stilwell – Cherokee Nation’s One-Stop Shop Parking Lot (former Walmart Building) at 320 West Locust 11am-1pm.

• June 24 – Kansas – Kansas High School (Next to old gym) at 700 Woods Ave 11am-1pm

• June 24 – South Coffeyville – NAFI at 215 Oklahoma Street 11am-1pm

• June 24 – Hulbert – Hulbert City Park 11am-1pm

• June 24 – Jay – Cherokee Nation PPE/Food Distribution Center (Building behind Jay Health Center) at 1305 N. Industrial Park Rd 11am-1pm

• June 24 – North Tulsa – Parking Lot B (East of North Hall) OSU Tulsa at 700 N. Greenwood Ave 11am-1pm

Cherokee Nation received $1.8 billion through President Biden’s American Relief Act, with $700 million going straight to individual assistance.
