But the former host of The Project has worked out an ingenious hack for keeping the three-year-old form becoming too morose at leaving Australia behind, in a Thursday Instagram post.

Bickmore, 41, revealed that play centres are the secret to her success, writing, ‘Happy to report London play centres are just like Aussie play centres’.

The radio host continued, ‘Wanted to do something easy and fun for Addie today because to be honest she is the one in the family that is struggling the most being on our adventure.’

‘Away from her home (which due to lockdown she has spent a lot of her short life in) new smells, new people, different food, tubes, buses, flights, late nights, new beds, it’s a lot for her and the result is lots of grizzling, tantrums, disrupted sleep and very clingy.’

‘I know the special time we are getting together will be worth it for her but thought I’d share some of our realities of travelling with little ones.’

‘I am cherishing the endless hours together that I never get at home and happy to spend my day in a ball pit,’ Bickmore concluded.

Bickmore is now broadcasting her radio show from London after moving overseas with her family.

And the popular presenter ditched the glamour as she hosted Hit Network’s Carrie & Tommy Show this week.

The mother-of-three was fresh-faced, wore a red hoodie and threw her trademark blonde tresses up in a bun for her work day.

A Hit Network microphone was placed on a desk in front of her and a sound mixer was behind the TV and radio star.

It comes after Carrie said her family are ‘settling into the UK’ after their big move overseas together.

Carrie stepped away as star presenter of The Project for the trip.

‘Our adventure is well underway can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to over the past few weeks travelling,’ the caption began.

‘We’ve packed it in [visiting France, Switzerland and Austria] (perhaps too many stops for our little people!) and we’ve seen the most incredible places,’ Carrie continued.

‘Settling in to the UK now,’ she concluded, before dubbing the trip ‘#britmorefamilyadventure or the Chriswolds’s family adventure as Chris calls it’.

Carrie first revealed her grand plans with partner Chris Walker and their kids in March.

‘In April I’m going to be taking a few months off The Project desk. Chris and I and the kids are heading off on a family adventure together.’

‘We’ve been wanting to do it for a while but for lots of reasons the timing hasn’t been right, but we figure it’s never going to be the perfect time to go.

‘It’s something we really want to do before my son starts his final years at school so we’re doing term two in the UK. So I will be off for a couple of months.’

Carrie also said she had been inspired by The Project panellist Kate Langbroek, 56, who spent two years living in Bologna, Italy, with her family.

Meanwhile Waleed Aly and Lisa Wilkinson were noticeably absent from The Project in the wake of Carrie’s move, but have since returned.
