The telecom operator has discontinued its postpaid plans such as Rs 199 and Rs 249 below for corporate users. It’s entry level plan for corporate customers will start from Rs 299 for new and existing customers. All existing customers will now be moved to rs 299 from the next billing cycle, a person familiar with the matter said.
For retail customers, the Sunil Mittal-led telco has discontinued its 749 family postpaid plan for new customers and will now offer Rs 999 as the only family postpaid plan with enhanced data benefits. The move is aimed at significantly increasing the average revenue per user (ARPU) from its high-end postpaid customers in the country.
“Our new Postpaid plans offer a holistic connectivity solution along with industry leading benefits to meet the productivity requirements of our customers in the post pandemic world,” Ajay Chitkara, Director and CEO – Airtel Business said in a statement.
On retail postpaid plans, Airtel said that a key feedback it received from customers was the need for more data as the entire family’s use of digital platforms has increased manifold.
“As a response, Airtel has refreshed its Family Postpaid plans to help its customers navigate the new normal. With its simplified Postpaid proposition, customers can also easily bundle add-on connections with enhanced data benefits to their existing plans, the telco said in a statement.
Vodafone India had previously hiked the postpaid tariff for two high-end plans by Rs 50. Its family packs worth Rs 598 and Rs 749 now cost Rs 649 and Rs 799, respectively.
